Assistant Director

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the responsibility of the Assistant Director is to further the mission of Open Connections through their work, primarily focused on Advancement (Admissions, Marketing, Development) and Information Technology.  

 

Core Responsibilities: The Assistant Director will:

  • Serve as a critical thought partner to the Executive Director and participate as a collaborative and engaged member of the Leadership Team;

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans in marketing, development, and information technology;

  • Manage our donor database (eTapestry) and donor relations including our annual giving drive.

  • Manage communications and marketing including, but not limited to, the website, social media sites, and outreach initiatives;

  • Serve as network administrator.

 

The exact job responsibilities will vary and evolve over time with the needs of the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Be willing to adapt and embrace flexibility.

 

Experience:  The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years professional career experience in an educational environment;

  • Experience in development for nonprofits;

  • An understanding of the information technology field (prefered);

  • Skills in MS Office, Filemaker, Google Suite, and eTapestry.

Additional Details:

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
