Interviewed May 2020

What year did you start at OC?

I started in 2014 in sixth grade which was my first year of homeschooling.

What’s one of your earliest OC memories?

I remember going on a nature walk one of my first days for an activity in Choice II.

What’s your FAVORITE OC memory?

My favorite OC memory was probably doing my symposium this year. It was a lot of work this entire year building up to it, and even though I was a little worried about it, it turned out really well. It was very satisfying and relieving when it was over and I’m glad OC has us go through this important research and presentation process.

What’s something that distinguishes OC from other communities or learning environments?

I love how OC really gives us more freedom in our learning and also lets us spend more time outdoors than in regular school. You also get to know everyone a lot better in this small learning environment.

What will you miss most about OC?

I will miss the friendly atmosphere, as well as the open and scenic campus of OC.
