Open Connections

PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES: Open Connections continues to be open, virtually. We recognize that springtime is often when prospective families tour the OC campus and come for an in-person interview. While our physical campus is closed for the time being, we ARE continuing to conduct interviews via Zoom or FaceTime. Jody Fitts


Jody facilitates in the Thursday Group Tutorial I program. A graduate of the University of Denver in English and Education, Jody has been teaching/facilitating early childhood education and environmental learning since she began in 1973 at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.  


She has facilitated Open Programs, the Ventures Program, Choices programs and Thursday Group Tutorial I at OC ever since OC moved to Edgmont in 2001. She loves being outdoors, enjoying nature, and gardening. She also likes to spend her time reading, swimming, cooking, and doing crafts, and practicing yoga. Jody and her husband, Alan, have two grown sons and three grandchildren in Massachusetts and Washington state. Their youngest son attended OC from 1981-83, accompanied by Jody, who led nature rambles as an early OC Parent-Resourcer.
