Open Connections

PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES: Open Connections continues to be open, virtually. We recognize that springtime is often when prospective families tour the OC campus and come for an in-person interview. While our physical campus is closed for the time being, we ARE continuing to conduct interviews via Zoom or FaceTime. If you are considering enrollment for Fall 2020, we encourage you to take advantage of this option! To learn more about setting up a virtual interview, please click the "Inquire" link. We look forward to “meeting” you and showing you all that OC has to offer. Thank you for your interest in Open Connections! CURRENT FAMILIES: Please check your email for the kick-off schedule for distance learning!

Michelle Brockway

Program Coordinator (ages 4-8 years), Facilitator
Michelle.Brockway@openconnections.org

Michelle is Program Coordinator and Lead Facilitator in all four Open Programs.  Michelle joined the staff in 2004 bringing her lovely family with her.

The second oldest of six growing up, Michelle's interactions with young people began at an early age. Prior to joining the OC Staff, she spent eight years working in the field of early childhood education at The Goddard School and a private nursery school.  During this time she especially enjoyed attending courses focusing on children's literature and early childhood development. A lover of the outdoors, Michelle can often be found leading a group on nature explorations.

When she is not at OC, she enjoys working on her farm and running her self-service farmstand with her four young people, all of whom attend or have attended OC. Michelle has found creative ways to extend her young people’s OC experience to their home life during her non-OC days. During her "free time," Michelle enjoys cooking and baking, reading, playing and creating games with her family, and hands-on creative endeavors such as sewing, tie-dying, canning and preserving food, woodworking, and gardening.
