KELLY DILLONChoice Coordinator, Facilitator
"Not all those who wander are lost." - All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Kelly works (and plays) as Lead Facilitator in the Wednesday Choice Programs, and for Group 2 (Tuesdays/Thursdays). Kelly joined the staff at Open Connections in the fall of 2006 and is delighted to continue the adventure of life-long learning with the community of young people, families and fellow staff members here at OC.
Kelly earned a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, and facilitated photography classes in the Young Artist’s Workshops and Continuing Education programs there for many years. She appreciates the imagination, exploratory investigation, resourcefulness and flexible, outside-the-box thinking that is an innate part of the creative process and making of any kind. Passionate about the outdoors, Kelly continues to wander, observe and marvel at the cycles of the natural world. She enjoys collaborating with young people as they develop their own passion for the planet, and is committed to doing her part in protecting and preserving the environment for generations to come. Kelly shares many interests with her daughter, who joyfully attended OC from Open Program through Shaping Your Life. She is grateful for the enlightening conversations, ranging from human rights and equality to popular culture, that continue to connect them in their curiosity and compassion. |
